Join our annual Family Camp at Evans Lake over the Labour Day long weekend with other L’École Bilingue families!
| Date | September 5–7, 2026 |
| Location | Evans Lake Forest Education Centre |
| Time | Plan to arrive by 10 am on Saturday (programming will start promptly!) and stay until Monday around 11 am |
Families of students who attend L’École Bilingue have been privately organizing a camping trip over the Labour Day long weekend for over 40 years. Connect with other families and enjoy an array of outdoor activities in a picturesque mountain lake site just 15 kilometers north of Squamish.
School-age children (those entering kindergarten through grade seven) stay in cabins with camp counsellors. Parents and small children (children entering kindergarten — if they prefer, or younger) camp in tents or stay in a limited number of bunk rooms in the lodge. All meals are prepared by Evans Lake staff. The camp is participatory with parents assisting with some duties.
Evans Lake is a highlight of our year. From canoeing and camp activities led by amazing counsellors to campfire songs in the forest, Evans Lake gives our kids an unforgettable outdoor experience, and gives us parents a chance to truly unwind and connect. — Ron Boaz
Our children look forward to Evans Lake all summer. They get to see friends and meet new ones before school starts. For parents, there is a lot of downtime while the children adventure with the counselors. It’s a vacation for us too! — Heather Bell
$315 per person (entering K and older; younger kids free). It’s an additional $20 for special diets (lactose intolerant, gluten free, vegan, allergies); no cost for vegetarian or nut allergies.
If camp cost is a hardship, please let us know.
