As parents and guardians, we directly fund additional educational resources beyond those provided by the VSB and provincial government.
Most of our funds are raised through direct donation, an annual voluntary contribution. The suggested donation amount is $100 per student.
This year, your donation will fund much needed programs and resources, including:
Bulletin boards, sensory tools, French-language games, molecular science kits, field trip funds, and supplemental classroom materials
Document cameras, whiteboards for classrooms, an iPad storage tub, and replacement iPad cables and cases
Gymnastics and circus programs, replacement team jerseys, a school banner, new sports equipment, and scoreboard replacement parts
Saleema Noon, Maple Man, yoga, and subsidized cooking classes
Our goal is to raise $20,000 to continue supporting these and other school-wide initiatives. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
The video projector and the whiteboard has helped increase students’ engagement during phonology activities in my classroom — students are able to use dry erase markers directly on the board to highlight sounds in our words, texts, and song lyrics. It makes it all the more fun to learn how to read and write. — LEB teacher
